Junior Development Accountant
PC Urban Properties is a Vancouver-based real estate development company. Our team is a group of dedicated individuals focused on maximizing potential for our communities and the properties we create. To accommodate internal growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic Junior Development Accountant to join our team on a full-time basis.
The Junior Development Accountant will have an opportunity to develop their technical accounting and transferable skills while gaining unique insights into the real estate development industry. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives and adapts well in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- Processing full cycle accounts payable
- Completing monthly cheque run
- Processing EFT, account transfers and wire payments
- Answer customer/vendor inquiries
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Perform banking duties, such as depositing cheques
- Prepare and file all monthly, quarterly, and yearly GST
- Support other accounting team members as needed
- Other admin accounting tasks as required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year working as Junior Development Accountant and/or similar role
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines
- Experience in Real Estate/Development industry
- Previous experience working with SAP Concur
- Tech savvy with experience using Sage 300
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP)

People & Culture Manager
PC Urban Properties is looking for seasoned human resources professional to support our 29 Team members and our continued growth. The successful candidate will be confident in researching, recommending, and setting up systems, programs, and initiatives from the ground up to enhance the people experience. With a view to attract and retain top talent for the Company, this role will be a leader in all human resource program development to create and maintain a strong values-based team culture.
- Support and guide PC Urban’s Senior Leadership Team with human resource practices and legislation application, and the development and implementation of related programs and policies
- Act as a liaison between employees and Leadership Team
- Plan and manage full-cycle recruitment including orientation processes
- Design, coordinate, implement HR programs, initiatives, and employee events
- Talent development and managerial/leadership coaching
- Direct the performance management process to improve performance
- Research, analyze and make recommendations for employee compensation and benefits
- Formulate budgets aligned to the HR department
- Ensure proper maintenance of employee records, files and HR systems
- Facilitate a culture of commitment to the company’s values, standards, operating philosophies in alignment with our overall business strategy
- Ensure the effective and efficient management of all HR functions
- Post-secondary diploma/degree in Human Resources or related field required; and CPHR designation preferred
- 5-10 years of progressive HR responsibility in real estate development or comparative field
- Demonstrated experience with current HR theories, practices, and legislation
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS systems
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written
